About Photo Plus

Photo Plus UK, an extension of the Dubai-based Gulf Photo Plus, champions photography from the SWANA region and diaspora artists, boasting a significant influence in these areas. Established in the UK in 2021 under the leadership of its director, Mohamed Somji, who is now based in London and travels to the region occasionally.

As part of its mission, Photo Plus UK hosts a variety of photography programs, including the well-received Slidefest event, photowalks, workshops, and engaging talks. Moreover, it aims to support photographers and industry professionals through a range of services. These include printing, film development and scanning, personalized mentoring, and tailored coaching on both technical and soft skills.

Photo Plus UK also accepts photography commission and assignments with the aim being to platform artists of color and from the diaspora.
