About Fatima
Fatima Shbair (b. 1997) is a Palestinian photojournalist based in Gaza, Palestine (now in the UAE). She is a self-taught photographer who has an interest in documenting people's stories, cultures, and social issues.

After studying business administration for three years at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, Shbair switched to study journalism and began concentrating on photojournalism in 2019 through independent study and working in the field.

Shbair is currently a contributor to Everyday Middle East and her work has been exhibited in Palestine, the UAE, London, and Paris. Follow her on @fatimashbair on Instagram
